There are three layers to this basket, each cut from maple, then glued up in layers. The design is such that the basket looks like it was woven, when in fact each layer is cut from a solid piece of wood. The top has a handle on each side. The top and bottom are both made from walnut, to contrast with the light-colored maple sides.
The basket is 8 inches long, 4 9/16 wide, and 2 3/8 wide on the outside. The inside depth is about 1 7/8 inches.
