Who says a cutting board or trivet needs to be plain and boring? This one is made from oak and contains the phrase "The secret ingredient is love," along with apple, pear, and lemon shapes. The words and shapes were cut from the top layer using a scroll saw and then filled in with red-tinted epoxy after the top layer was glued to another layer.
The cutting board is 7 1/2 inches in diameter and one inch thick. It was finished with a butcher block oil and finish so it is food safe. It can be rinsed for cleaning, but it should not be placed in a dishwasher.
