When I first saw this pattern, I immediately saw it as a gift from a son or daughter, but I later realized it will fit coming from a grandchild as well. The design is cut from 1/4-inch Baltic birch plywood with a Sapele backer and stand. Choose from a boy or girl pattern, each of which measures 8 1/2 inches long, 8 1/8 high, and 2 1/2 inches deep. It is finished with several coats of warm satin polyurethane.
